We are also responsible for responding second due to our brothers in Monmouth Beach and Rumson under automatic aid agreements along with Gateway National Recreation Area – Sandy Hook, Highlands and other surrounding municipalities under mutual aid agreements.
The members of our department strive to provide the best level of Fire and Emergency Service possible to the residents and visitors of our town. Over the years our mission has changed, we have evolved into all hazards mitigation. We provide your everyday fire suppression as well as EMS, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extraction, Rapid Intervention, Hazmat, and specialize in different types of water and ice rescue (Ocean, Flood, River) under our robust marine division.
