Locals know Sea Bright’s beach is one of the jewels of the Jersey Shore. Our coast line is graced with a number of beautiful beach clubs, numerous unprotected beach areas, and the Municipal Beach in the center of town. The Municipal Beach provides lifeguards and rescue personnel, plenty of parking, restrooms, and is located just a short walk to the many amenities Sea Bright’s downtown business district has to offer.

The Borough of Sea Bright requires beach badges at the Municipal Beach from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. For locations of the 7 public access stairways, click on the Public Access Map. Visitors, please obey all local parking rules and help us keep the beach clean by carrying out your trash.

In conjunction with the Beach Management Plan, the Borough prohibits animals on the beach from March 15th through September 15th in specific protected areas; see Chapter 66. Dog walkers/owners are reminded that  dogs must be on leases and are required to clean up after their pets.

The Municipal Beach opens on Memorial Day Weekend. The Municipal Beach is open with supervision seven days a week. The official beach season ends on Labor Day. Supervised hours of operation: 9 am to 5pm.

Currently we have six access points to the Municipal Beach:
 - Stairs behind Borough Hall, 1167 Ocean Avenue
 - Stairs at south end of Municipal Parking Lot
 - Stairs at each side of the Sea Bright Beach Pavilion
 - ADA ramp at north side of the Sea Bright Beach Pavilion
 - Non-ADA ramp at north end of the Municipal Parking Lot
 - Stairs and ADA ramp at Anchorage Beach
