SEA BRIGHT OCEAN RESCUE LIFEGUARDS WILL NOT BEGIN SUPERVISING HIGHLANDS PUBLIC BEACHES UNTIL SATURDAY, JUNE 16TH.
SEA BRIGHT OCEAN RESCUE LIFEGUARDS WILL BEGIN SUPERVISING SEA BRIGHT PUBLIC BEACHES BEGINNING MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, INCLUDING MONDAY, MAY 28TH, AND ON SUBSEQUENT WEEKENDS UNTIL JUNE 16TH, WHEN LIFEGUARDS WILL BE ON DUTY EVERY DAY THROUGH LABOR DAY.
Locals know Sea Bright’s beach is one of the jewels of the Jersey Shore. Our coast line is graced with a number of beautiful beach clubs, numerous unprotected beach areas, and the Municipal Beach in the center of town. The Municipal Beach provides lifeguards and rescue personnel, plenty of parking, restrooms, and is located just a short walk to the many amenities Sea Bright’s downtown business district has to offer.
The Borough of Sea Bright requires beach badges at the Municipal Beach from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. For locations of the 7 public access stairways, click on the Public Access Map. Visitors, please obey all local parking rules and help us keep the beach clean by carrying out your trash.
The Borough of Sea Bright welcomes leashed dogs on the beach from the day after Labor Day until the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Additionally, in conjunction with the Beach Management Plan, the Borough prohibits animals on the beach from April 1 through Labor Day in specific areas; see Chapter 66-22:G Animals for locations. (Dog walkers/owners are reminded that they are required to clean up after their pets.) Rules for the Beaches are found in Chapter 66 of the Code of the Borough of Sea Bright.
The Municipal Beach opens on Memorial Day Weekend. The Municipal Beach is open with supervision seven days a week. The official beach season ends on Labor Day. Supervised hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
