  • Not sure what size safety seat your child belongs in or your child's safety seat is installed correctly?  A recent study has shown that over 80% of all child safety seats are misused and that proper use of a child safety seat reduces an infant's death rate by 71% in crash.  Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for children from ages 4 to adults age 34.  It is New Jersey law that all children must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat or child booster until age 8 or eighty pounds.  If you would like a certified police officer to properly install your child seat, contact Patrolman James McCue…

    • The Borough of Sea Bright Police Department, in collaboration with 180-Turning Lives Around, is currently recruiting volunteers for participation on the Regional Domestic Violence Response Team. The volunteers will work in conjunction with the police to provide support, information, referrals, and a safety plan at the time of crisis. The volunteer victim advocates respond to local police departments. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have access to transportation, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to background investigations. The completion of a 40-hour mandatory intensive training course is required and will be provided to successful applicants.
