Must have passed the Police Officers' Eligibility List for Monmouth County Non-Civil Service Municipalities, written and physical, or
Be a full time New Jersey P.T.C. (Police Training Commission) certified police officer.
Must be a United States Citizen
Must be a New Jersey State resident

Must have a valid New Jersey Drivers License
Must be at least 18 and not over 35 years old when appointed (consistent with NJSA 40A:14-127. Age requirements.)
